He was a representative of the American Chamber of Commerce, which has invested in Ukraine.
I represent the foreign investors who have invested money in the Ukrainian economy, and came to know what to expect in the development of alternative energy.
I was told that our industry has no right to exist, It was the corrupt forces during Yanukovych. But what am I and foreign investors to the corruption schemes? I am a member of the Committee on Energy, I support Attache of the Embassy of the United States energy.
It was said that the United States also give and Take bribes, "- said the businessman.
Kruglyakov added that in the field of alternative energy in Ukraine is "very unhealthy" because NKREKP decision on reduction of tariffs for electricity from renewable sources, violated all laws related to alternative energy, as well as the rights of investors. "Just picked up and cut by 50%, without any explanation, referring to the Cabinet decision on emergency power. Yes, there is such a decision,  said that it is necessary to cut down the rate of 50%," - said the representative American business.
Kruglyakov also noted that due to the devaluation of the hryvnia investors incurring significant losses because they have large loans. "We're losing money every day. Businessman said he intends to appeal to the Parliament of Ukraine and the US Embassy in Ukraine, as well as to attract foreign press.
"If necessary, we will do everything. This chaos can not occur.  The minister has the right to enter the European Union and to receive foreign investment, so to spoil the image of this state?! I was born in Ukraine for many years conducted business in Ukraine, I understand the internal situation, and if I was an American who came to the reception to the Minister of Energy, and heard what I heard? This American had already been to the plane and flew away with their investments, "- said the businessman.

The Semi-Colon Club

stowe_5
The Semi-Colon Club
Abolitionist and author Harriet Beecher Stowe was influenced by her time in the Semi-Colon Club, which helped shape her anti-slavery novelUncle Tom’s Cabin. The literary club was one of the only of its time to offer a space for men and women alike—a time when female writers were still using male pseudonyms so they could publish their works and were restricted from speaking in public to groups that included men. Members of the pioneering Cincinnati group included writers, a judge (future Supreme Court Justice Salmon P. Chase), physicians (including first American female physician, Elizabeth Blackwell), and Harriet’s sister, Catherine Beecher (an early women’s education advocate).

The Bohemian Club

bohemian
The Bohemian Club
The term “gentlemen’s club” arouses all kinds of lewd thoughts, but the gentlemen’s club founded in San Francisco in 1872, known simply as the Bohemian Club, is not what you think. The club started out with a diverse group of cultured men, including young artists and journalists who appreciated the arts. It was eventually overwhelmed with influential leaders (prime ministers and presidents have been members) and businessmen who didn’t quite fit the definition of “bohemian,” transforming it into a more traditional fraternal organization. Although, there is nothing traditional about the club’s annual encampment ceremony, which resembles a scene from The Wicker Man. The men gather around a 40-foot owl shrine surrounded by Redwood trees for the elaborate “Cremation of Care” ceremony. It’s an symbolic gesture that is meant to banish worldly cares. Weird(er) note: the owl talks. For years member and broadcast journalist Walter Cronkite provided the creature’s recorded voice.

End The Lie: "Most Transparent Administration Ever" Is No More: White House To Delete Its FOIA Regulations

Back on October 28, 2009, then White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the following:
... understanding what this President has done is institute the very toughest ethics and transparency rules of any administration in history...  I think the President has returned to a stance of transparency and ethics that hasn't been matched by any other White House.
... the President believes strongly in transparency... that transparency in that way in the best policy
... understand that what the President campaigned on - toughening our ethics rules, making more transparent our transparency policy - was something that he was passionate about and is proud of the progress that we've made in ensuring that.
And here is the president himself: "We have put in place the toughest ethics and transparency laws of any administration in history."
Lies, lies, and nothing but lies. The lies end now.
As reported moments ago, the White House is voiding a federal regulation that subjects its Office of Administration to the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA  (incidentally the same act that discovered none of Hillary Clinton's "personal" government-business emails since they were not even stored on government property!) which as USA Today explains, makes "official a policy under Presidents Bush and Obama to reject requests for records to that office."
And just like that the lie of Obama's transparency is over, and it couldn't come at a worse time for the democratic party, just as its top contender for the 2016 presidential race is struggling to emerge from a cover-up scandal which reeks of intentional hiding of classified documentation from the public (or worse). Going forward it will no longer be Hillary Clinton who will be mocked and ridiculed for her total impunity when it comes to public accountability and transparency, but the "most untransparent" president as well.
The White House said the cleanup of FOIA regulations is consistent with court rulings that hold that the office is not subject to the transparency law. The office handles, among other things, White House record-keeping duties like the archiving of e-mails.
Actually, Obama really couldn't have picked worse timing because not only does it come hot on the heels of clintonemail.com, but the announcement also is taking place on National Freedom of Information Day and during a national debate over the preservation of Obama administration records. It's also Sunshine Week, an effort by news organizations and watchdog groups to highlight issues of government transparency. Almost as if the president of the US is openly mocking the public, making it clear he is accountable to no one (except of course for a few mega corporations: see: The Best "Democracy" Money Can Buy: For Every Dollar Spent Influencing US Politics, Corporations Get $760 Back)
"The irony of this being Sunshine Week is not lost on me," said Anne Weismann of the liberal Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW.
"It is completely out of step with the president's supposed commitment to transparency," she said. "That is a critical office, especially if you want to know, for example, how the White House is dealing with e-mail."
But who wants to know that? Can't the peasants just pay attention to the rigged all time high in the Apple Sachs Non-industrial Average and just leave the troubled leader of the free world alone?
The irony here is that with this act, Obama is now becoming even less transparent than the loathed by the left Bush dynasty:
Unlike other offices within the White House, which were always exempt from the Freedom of Information Act, the Office of Administration responded to FOIA requests for 30 years. Until the Obama administration, watchdog groups on the left and the right used records from the office to shed light on how the White House works.
"This is an office that operated under the FOIA for 30 years, and when it became politically inconvenient, they decided they weren't subject to the Freedom of Information Act any more," said Tom Fitton of the conservative Judicial Watch.
That happened late in the Bush administration, when CREW sued over e-mails deleted by the White House — as many as 22 million of them, by one accounting. The White House at first began to comply with that request, but then reversed course.
"The government made an argument in an effort to throw everything and the kitchen sink into the lawsuit in order to stop the archiving of White House e-mails," said Tom Blanton, the director of the National Security Archive at George Washington University, which has used similar requests to shed light on foreign policy decisions.
As USA Today further explains, the rule change means that there will no longer be a formal process for the public to request that the White House voluntarily disclose records as part of what's known as a "discretionary disclosure." Records released by the Office of Administration voluntarily include White House visitor logs and the recipe for beer brewed at the White House.
"You have a president who comes in and says, I'm committed to transparency and agencies should make discretionary disclosures whenever possible, but he's not applying that to his own White House," Weismann said.
Why wait until now? The White House did not explain why it waited nearly six years to formally acknowledge the court ruling in its regulations.
Because accountability, that's why. No really: "In the notice to be published Tuesday, the White House said it was not allowing a 30-day public comment period, and so the rule will be final."
Well, at least Obama has a sense of humor as he brings the country ever closer to the police state so well forecast by George Orwell: "It's a little tone deaf to do this on Sunshine Week, even if it's an administrative housecleaning," said Rick Blum, coordinator of the Sunshine in Government initiative for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press."
And the punchline: the notice that will be published in Tuesday's Federal Register, and in which the White House says it's removing regulations on how the Office of Administration complies with Freedom of Information Act Requests based on "well-settled legal interpretations" is hosted on a cloud server run... by Amazon.

5 Gold diggers of the Rich and Famous

Too many people, the thought of becoming rich and not having to work for it sounds like a dream. Others dream of becoming rich by earning it through long hours at the office or inventing some highly sought after product. Today, we’ll focus on the individuals who made their money at the expense of a wealthy celebrity spouse after a nasty divorce.
An age old tradition, gold digging is a means of becoming rich by earning the love (or lust?) of someone wealthy. Then, after the romance is officiated, often the gold digger (who usually never loved their wealthy spouse in the first place) ups and leaves to take at least half if not more of their fortune. While it’s not an honorable method of becoming rich, it has worked time and time again.
Which celebrity gold diggers have been the most successful in terms of gaining both fame and fortune? We’re listing the top ten who fought legal battles and ignored their pride for the sake of money. Who made the list and who didn’t? Here’s the 10 biggest celebrity gold diggers.

Amy Irving (Steven Spielberg)

Amy-IrvingAmy Irving earned a fair bit of fame during the 1970’s with her Academy Award nominated role in “Yentl” as well as a few other big roles afterward. Her fame grew while she was coincidentally dating Steven Spielberg. Spielberg wasn’t quite the name he is now, and Irving, for some reason or another, had a fling with Willie Nelson just before Spielberg hit it big.As Irving’s stock fell and Spielberg’s began to rise during their separation, she became desperate. Irving was in line to get the role of Marion in the huge blockbuster, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, but Spielberg threw her aside after the split. Although the two eventually got back together, Irving made $100 million when they divorced. Spielberg thought he had a pre-nup, but the fact that it was on a napkin voided its validity. Whoops.

Anna Nicole Smith (J. Howard Marshall)

Anna-Nicole-SmithThe life of Anna Nicole Smith was a rollercoaster ride that met a tragic ending. When Smith was only 24 years old, she was an unknown stripper. J. Howard Marshall, on the other hand, was a billionaire in the oil industry, and when the two met, she knew she had it good. The only thing about Marshall was that he was darn near 90 years old at the time.
It was pretty obvious to Marshall’s family what Smith’s intentions were; he passed away just a year after the two married. After a long legal battle, Smith won a portion of the money, but not the $800 million that she thought. Smith went on to be an actress, model and weight loss supplement spokesperson before passing away at the age of 39 from a drug overdose.

Courtney Stodden (Doug Hutchinson)

Courtney-StoddenA lot of 16 year olds dream of marrying to their high school sweetheart, but Courtney Stodden took a different approach to that dream, which probably should have been declared illegal in court. Stodden’s family happily signed off on their 16 year old’s marriage to a 51 year old millionaire, Doug Hutchinson, knowing that it would benefit their wallets, as well.
The two seemed like an odd pair from the beginning, since Hutchinson was old enough to be Stodden’s grandfather. Stodden rode the coattails of wealth to her 15 minutes of fame and has appeared on reality shows. The two split as a married couple, but Hutchinson is currently acting as Stodden’s agent, which hints at a pleasant breakup with positive ties. Legally, we think the two should be 500 yards apart at all times.

Kevin Federline (Britney Spears)

Kevin-FederlineWhen you’re a backup dancer trying to make a name for yourself, the easiest way is to court the star you’re dancing behind. That’s exactly what Kevin Federline did when he hooked up with Britney Spears, despite having a child and one more on the way with his then girlfriend, Shar Jackson. Shar didn’t have anywhere near as much money as Spears, so we guess the choice was fairly easy for him.
Federline used his new fame in the relationship to start a rap career, starting with the truly God awful song, “Popozao”. Federline and Britney had two children together, and divorced pretty quickly after the tots were born. Federline, of all people, got full custody of the children and receives nearly a quarter million in child support each year. Even if Federline never got the successful career that he wanted, he’s set for life now thanks to Spears.

Rachel Hunter (Rod Stewart)

Rachel-HunterWhen you sign a pre-nup agreement, you usually think that you won’t have to give much, if any, of your money away. At least that’s what both Steven Spielberg and Rod Stewart thought. Unfortunately, as we mentioned before, Spielberg was wrong. And, as you guessed it, Stewart was wrong as well after Rachel Hunter took a big chunk of his wealth. Stewart kind of saw it coming when he married Hunter, as she was just 21 years old then and he was 45.
After having two children together during their marriage, Stewart figured he was safe until the lawyers came knocking. Stewart lost over $65 million in the divorce, which could have been a lot more if not for the pre-nup that he had. Now, Stewart is 70 years old and Hunter is enjoying the single life. Let’s just hope she visits the old man at his retirement home.

Fraud, Theft investigation led RCMP to raid OPP offices

OPP remind everyone to be responsible on roads during long weekendZoom

An RCMP raid on the offices of top Ontario Provincial Police union leaders was part of an investigation into allegations of theft, fraud and laundering of proceeds of crime, newly released court documents show.
Search warrants and production orders related to the March 6 raid say there are “reasonable grounds for believing” the offences have been committed, along with criminal breach of trust and fraudulent concealment.
Warrants were issued for searches at several locations, including the Ontario Provincial Police Association’s offices in Barrie, Ont., three vehicles registered in its name and a Toronto travel company.
A production order was also issued for backups of union email accounts used by its president Jim Christie, vice-president Martin Bain and chief administrative officer Karl Walsh.
These accounts were to be searched for messages related to business ownership, investments and transactions involving these and other individuals or the association, as well as union expenses and annual leave, the order reads.
Another ordered the union to turn over copies of emails from Christie, Bain and Walsh’s union email accounts stored on CD and a USB drive dating from September 2013 to the present and related to the same topics.
The email data were to be immediately sealed and sent to an independent forensic examiner to be analyzed without being seen by police, the documents show. The data would then go to an independent lawyer, who would determine whether to invoke solicitor-client privilege and notify affected clients if applicable.
The warrants, orders and other related documents were initially sealed by the Ontario Superior Court but released by a judge on Friday.
No charges have been laid but the criminal investigation has prompted several senior union officials to step aside.
The union said earlier this week that Christie and Bain, whose offices were searched, have taken voluntary leaves of absence.
Walsh, whose office was also searched by the RCMP, has been placed on administrative leave, it said.
The Ontario Provincial Police Association said in a statement it had fully co-operated with the criminal investigation by handing over items identified in the search warrant.
On Monday, RCMP Const. Jean Juneau said the investigation was in its preliminary stages and “there are absolutely no charges pending right now.”

The 9/11 Commission Didn’t Believe the Government … So Why Should We?

The 9/11 Commissioners publicly expressed anger at cover ups and obstructions of justice by the government into a real 9/11 investigation:
  • The Commission’s co-chairs said that the CIA (and likely the White House) “obstructed our investigation”
  • The Senior Counsel to the 9/11 Commission (John Farmer) – who led the 9/11 staff’s inquiry – said“At some level of the government, at some point in time…there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened“. He also said “I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described …. The tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years…. This is not spin. This is not true.”
No wonder the Co-Chair of the congressional investigation into 9/11 – Bob Graham – and 9/11 Commissioner and former Senator Bob Kerrey are calling for either a “PERMANENT 9/11 commission” or a new 9/11 investigation to get to the bottom of it.
Some examples of obstruction of justice into the 9/11 investigation include:
  • An FBI informant hosted and rented a room to two hijackers in 2000. Specifically, investigators for the Congressional Joint Inquiry discovered that an FBI informant had hosted and even rented a room to two hijackers in 2000 and that, when the Inquiry sought to interview the informant, the FBI refused outright, and then hid him in an unknown location, and that a high-level FBI official stated these blocking maneuvers were undertaken under orders from the White House. As the New York Times notes:
Senator Bob Graham, the Florida Democrat who is a former chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, accused the White House on Tuesday of covering up evidence ….The accusation stems from the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s refusal to allow investigators for a Congressional inquiry and the independent Sept. 11 commission to interview an informant, Abdussattar Shaikh, who had been the landlord in San Diego of two Sept. 11 hijackers.
  • The chairs of both the 9/11 Commission and the Official Congressional Inquiry into 9/11 said that Soviet-style government “minders” obstructed the investigation into 9/11 by intimidating witnesses (and see this)
  • The 9/11 Commissioners concluded that officials from the Pentagon lied to the Commission, and considered recommending criminal charges for such false statements
  • As reported by ACLUFireDogLakeRawStory and many others, declassified documents shows that Senior Bush administration officials sternly cautioned the 9/11 Commission against probing too deeply into the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001

BOTH THE 9/11 COMMISSION INVESTIGATION AND 9/11 TRIALS WERE BASED ON UNRELIABLE EVIDENCE PRODUCED BY TORTURE

9/11 Commission co-chairs Thomas Keane and Lee Hamilton wrote:
Those who knew about those videotapes — and did not tell us about them — obstructed our investigation.
The chief lawyer for Guantanamo litigation – Vijay Padmanabhan – said that torture of 9/11 suspects was widespread.
And Susan J. Crawford – the senior Pentagon official overseeing the military commissions at Guantánamo told Bob Woodward:
We tortured Qahtani. His treatment met the legal definition of torture.
Indeed, some of the main sources of information were tortured right up to the point of death.
Moreover, the type of torture used by the U.S. on the Guantanamo suspects is of a special type. Senator Levin revealed that the the U.S. used Communist torture techniques specifically aimed at creatingfalse confessions. (and see thisthisthis and this).
And according to NBC News:
  • Much of the 9/11 Commission Report was based upon the testimony of people who were tortured
  • At least four of the people whose interrogation figured in the 9/11 Commission Report have claimed that they told interrogators information as a way to stop being “tortured”
  • One of the Commission’s main sources of information was tortured until he agreed to sign a confession that he was NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO READ
  • The 9/11 Commission itself doubted the accuracy of the torture confessions, and yet kept their doubts to themselves
If the 9/11 Commissioners themselves doubt the information from the government, why should we believe it?

China wants to have a reserve currency

Common wisdom has China as the future model for the Globalist economy. Also, conventional thinking has the Western financial debt created money system as the backbone of the New World Order. The big question is, are both components of the same intentional plan? When China Has Announced Plans For A ‘World Currency’, the world is put on notice that a fundamental shift is about to take place.
“What you are about to see is rather startling, but it shouldn’t be a surprise.  When it comes to economics and finance, the Chinese have always been playing chess while the western world has been playing checkers.  Sadly, we have gotten to the point where checkmate is on the horizon.
The following comes from CNBC …
The tightly controlled Chinese yuan will eventually supersede the dollar as the top international reserve currency, according to a new poll of institutional investors.
The survey of 200 institutional investors – 100 headquartered in mainland China and 100 outside of it – published by State Street and the Economist Intelligence Unit on Thursday found 53 percent of investors think the renminbi will surpass the U.S. dollar as the world’s major reserve currency.
Optimism was higher within China, where 62 percent said they saw a redback world on the horizon, compared with 43 percent outside China.”
Before the celebration begins that the game is up for the Federal Reserve mastery from the days of the Bretton Woods Conference, look a little closer. While gold and its fixed price were instrumental to that monitory standard, the freeing from fixed rates has generated the madness of floating currency speculation that now dominates the financial markets.
The cunning and patient Chinese built their export economy on cheap priced goods into their importing customer economies. Saving is a noble objective in the East, while going into debt is the hallmark of Western practices. The Chinese have applied their huge balance of trade surpluses to buying up commodities. Most notable is gold.
The article, Could China actually have 30,000 tonnes of gold in reserves? Makes the strongest argument that China is poised to become the new superior currency is based upon the potential of establishing a convertible relationship between the renminbi and bullion.
“China has much more gold than it is allowing the world to see. As Alasdair Macleod, probably the world’s number one analyst of the gold market, wrote that between 1983 and 2002 China probably accumulated 25,000 tons of gold. Thus, its current gold holdings are probably north of 30,000 tons in contrast to the USA which has either sold or leased most of its gold.”  Now this statement coming from one of the usual gold megabulls might be ignorable, but Hunt does not fall into this category and has a good track record of insights into China’s strategic initiatives as far as metals and minerals are concerned.”
Before the rush to the door to dump your U.S. Dollars for whatever store of wealth one believes will maintain its purchasing value, consider what the voice of the global financial establishment, the IMF says. Stating the outlook from the central Bankster’s perspective in, Will the Renminbi Rule?, the message is that paper money, burdened by debt, is still firmly in place.
“Given China’s size and growth prospects, it is widely seen as inevitable that the renminbi will eventually become a reserve currency. To gauge the likelihood and timing, it is necessary to consider the typical attributes of a reserve currency and evaluate China’s progress in each of these dimensions. The factors that generally affect a currency’s reserve status includes:
• Economic size
• Macroeconomic policies
• Flexible exchange rate
• Open capital account
• Financial market development
The IMF concludes:
“The renminbi is unlikely to become a prominent reserve currency—let alone challenge the dollar’s dominance—unless it can be freely converted and China adopts an open capital account.”
Now for anyone even remotely schooled in the manners and maturations of the financial elites, turning the other cheek to a pretender, is not in the lesson book.
Investment manager, Richard Harris offers in a report, Time to create new Chinese-Hong Kong dollar, an interesting possibility.
“The HK dollar itself is a dead unit having been pegged first to the pound and later to the US dollar, with the current rate fixed in 1983. The prevailing view about depegging is that it would be too dangerous. The unit only floated for a relatively short period from 1974-1983 and, I recall, without much confidence in its success.
The obvious answer is to combine the dead HK dollar with the embryonic CNH. This would be a completely independent, floating currency. The CNY would be used for current account transactions such as exports and imports, whilst the new “Chinese Dollar” (HKD/CNH combined) would cater for capital account financial transactions.”
Keeping paper money in place as the international medium of exchange is fundamental to the New World Order. While China may never implement an actual redemption of gold for their renminbi, there is a real possibility that some gold weighted backing for Chinese paper instruments could be introduced.
The U.S. Dollar maintains illusionary worth, only because the central bankers are all in with their dollar dominated derivatives. Moreover, the Chinese are very much dependent upon their exports to keep their economy going. Settlement in Federal Reserve notes is crucial for the American system to keep buying from overseas.
Just the mere threat of payment in the renminbi for all the Chinese goods that Walmart imports could be devastating. Allowing for a gradual transition into a semi-reserve renminbi status keeps the Bankster’s game going.
The prudent analysis suggests that the NWO created China’s emergence into an economic power through off-shoring domestic industries in their subject countries. Nonetheless, the international cabal is not about to starve their interest paying indebted nations by letting the Chinese accumulate even greater cash reserves.
Expect a downturn in China’s prospects, as soon as any ascendency for their currency begins gaining a reserve acceptance.
