MOTHER OF NAVY VET SHOT 30 TIMES BY POLICE

Gina Best recorded a passionate plea for justice in a video that is now going viral. In September, Best’s daughter, India Kager, a 27-year-old Navy veteran from College Park, Maryland, was sitting with her boyfriend and 4-month-old son, Roman.
Perry was a “person of interest” in a  homicide, according to the police. They additionally claim that they had “confidential information” that he “was going to” commit a “violent crime.” But that’s about all they’re willing to say at this time to justify the incident.
When police approached the car, Perry did indeed pull a gun, but Kager had nothing to do with her boyfriends crimes – past or future.
Officers began firing rounds that killed both Perry and Kager, indiscriminately. The baby, however, managed to survive – no thanks to the police who sprayed bullets wildly a the car.
Four unnamed officers who were involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave, but now, six months later, Best is still left without answers and with no one being held accountable for her daughters death.
She posted this tragic video on Facebook.
“I want the world to know what a mother goes through when your child is stolen and executed for no reason,” Best explained.

“The SWAT team ambushed my daughter’s car. They threw a grenade at her car. They fired 30 rounds. Who does that? How do you do that? 30 rounds? 30 rounds? They executed my baby in less than 3 hours of her being in Virginia Beach,” Best added.

The police, for their part, have exclusively focused on Perry’s crimes, offering no explanation of why they did not chose a time when Perry was alone to apprehend him in what they had to have known would be a violent confrontation.
Best now has to raise her daughter’s two sons and has accordingly set up a GoFundMe page for the kids.
“I can’t even tell you how bad this hurts … I won’t stop fighting for India. I won’t stop fighting for Roman. And I won’t stop fighting for Mr. Perry because he did not have due process,” Best said, sobbing.

RICH COUNTRY, STARVING CHILDREN

“Food insecure children are more likely to be behind in social skills and reading performance in kindergarten. By elementary school they are four times more likely to need mental health counseling. Risks keep accumulating: malnutrition from childhood food insecurity has been linked to adult diseases including diabetes, hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disease. The stress and anxiety of early childhood hunger also make it harder to learn skills that help later relationship development, school success and workplace productivity.” writes Marian Wright Edelman for Huffington Post.
America is the 10th richest country in the world, yet there are still children who are starving. Winnie Brewer, the Food Services Supervisor in Marion City Schools told Marian Wright Edelman,  “We run into a lot of situations where kids will come and say they have younger siblings at home. They always want to know if they can take something back. Until we see that child digging food out of a trash can, it doesn’t hit home,” she said.  “Once it does, you know you have to do something.”
In Ohio alone, around 220,000 children under the age of six are poor. More than half (55.5 percent) of Black children, 40.3 percent of Hispanic, and 19.1 percent of White children under six in Ohio are poor; 21 percent of them live in families where at least one parent works full-time year-round; 47 percent have at least one parent working part of the year or part-time; and 32 percent have no employed parent. Nearly one in four Ohio children lacks consistent access to adequate food—that’s 653,410 Ohio children of all ages in every corner of the state.
Children are the future of our world, yet we are barely able to feed them. Hunger is a widespread problem, not just in the poor nations of the world, but also in ‘rich’ countries like America. It must not be tolerated and we need to act now.
Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers suffering hunger and malnutrition, face increased odds of negative health outcomes during their years of greatest brain development.

FOOD INSECURE CHILDREN UNDER AGE FIVE ARE:

  • Nearly two times more likely to be in “fair or poor health”;
  • Nearly two times more likely to experience developmental delays;
  • Two times as likely to have behavioral problems;
  • More than twice as likely to be hospitalized;
  • Two and a half times more likely to have headaches, and
  • Three times more likely to have stomach aches.

The Aroma Of Your Coffee Tells A Story

What Does The Aroma Tell You About Your Coffee?

As you shop for coffee, think about several factors. If you're not very knowledgeable about coffee, you may be feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Fortunately, there is some fantastic advice in this article to help you increase your knowledge base.

If you grind your own beans, do so immediately before brewing, no earlier. The reason is that when coffee is ground, it starts to lose flavor. Grinding it ahead of time will cause the coffee to be much weaker.

Coffee should not be kept in the freezer for more than three months. The quality of the coffee will begin to deteriorate if you keep in in the freezer for too long.

Good water is essential for good coffee. Bottled water, while adding to the cost, can really improve the quality of your coffee. You may also want to get a water purifier if you don't go the bottled water route. Although the water is not equal to bottled water, it will still produce a better tasting cup of coffee than if you used tap water.

Do you need to decrease the amount of sugar that you're using in your coffee? If so, you have many different alternative methods. Agave nectar does contain sugar, but its low GI means that it won't cause problems for diabetics. Also, you can use sweeteners that are sugar free to put in your coffee.

Although it is occasionally a nice treat, buying coffee at Starbucks or other coffee shops gets expensive. There are many tasty options, and you can have your coffee topped off with something sweet, like chocolate curls and whipped cream.

You should brew your coffee from water that has been purified or with spring water. Keep in mind that whatever goes inside your brew affects the final taste. For this reason bottled or distilled water, or filtered water makes the best cup of coffee.

If you're a coffee fan who also wants to enrich residents of third-world countries, think about buying fair trade coffee. While it may cost a little more, you'll know that the people picking the beans are making fair wages rather than "slave wages," and you'll also find the taste to be of better quality. There's the added benefit of making a positive difference in the lives of small farmers in developing countries all over the world.

If your coffee doesn't taste right, it may be the water you're using. If your tap water consistently tastes bad, purchase a filter to add to the tap. You can also use a simple pitcher that contains an internal filter or you can use bottled water to brew coffee.

If you like flavored coffee, add some syrup or creamer to your coffee after you have brewed it. Doing this means your machine is not going to be contaminated with flavors that do not get along. You can also serve guests the flavored coffee that they desire. Adding the flavors before the milk will help them dissolve.

When making coffee use fresh cold water. You never want to use hot water in these brewers. The water is heated as it brews. You do not want to use hot water in a drip coffee maker. Your coffee will taste bad and you could also be creating an issue with safety.

Try adding sweeteners and different spices to make your coffee more lively. Brown sugar can add a different flavor to your coffee. Cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla, nutmeg and other flavor choices enhance the flavor of coffee too. You can also use rice, almond milks, and flavored soy rather than milk or creamers.

Your coffee buying experiences should be easier thanks to this article. Many options are out there for you, and you should make the best selection for your requirement. Remember the tips you've read here as you buy your next gourmet batch.
